Alhamdulillah on 2nd February a delegation from Wessex Jamaat led by Sheikh FazleAbbas had a joint meeting with George Hollingberry, Member of Parliament for Meon Valley (constituency where our Al Mahdi centre is situated), at the Kings Church, High Street, Bishops Waltham Village.
In College Park Infant School we had a whole week of getting to know and celebrate our differences. The motto of the week was:
“Thank you so much for the gift brought to our door today. It was a lovely gesture and a really nice surprise! My mother and I would like to wish you all the best with your new venture in Fontley Road.”

School children from Peel Common Juniors have enjoyed an insight into the world of Islam. On his first visit to the school in Gosport on 11th May, 2011, Sheikh Fazle Abbas Datoo shared his experiences of the faith, in support of the children's RE work linked to submission.

The Chaplaincy Team at the Queen Alexandra (QA) Hospital arranged a training session on 21st May, 2011.This is part of the Continuous Development programme for Chaplains Assistants. The programme included a presentation by Sheikh Fazle Abbas Datoo, Resident Alim/Imam at Al Mahdi Wessex Centre, and a workshop conducted by Reverend Jeanette Power, Team Chaplain at the QA Hospital.
