Wessex Jamaat was honoured to accompany the President of the Council of European Jamaats, Dr. Husein Jiwa and mu'mineen from various jamaats to pay a courtesy call on Ayatullah al Udhma, Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al Fayyadh on Wednesday, 2nd March, 2011 in London.
The Jamaat was represented by Haji Roshan Gangji President of Wessex Jamaat and the Resident Alim Sheikh Fazle Abbas Datoo.
During the meeting Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq was given a brief on the composition of the Wessex Jamaat drawn from various nationalities and cultures who participate in unity in the activities at Al Mahdi Centre. He was informed of the range of tableegh activities undertaken by the Jamaat in the fields of Interfaith and Intra faith projects.
In his guidance for living in the community with the Ahlu Sunna and people of other faiths, Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq emphasised on the followers of Ahlul Bayt to uphold the best akhlaq and engage with the community. He suggested that some of the ways how this could be done is by visiting the people, inviting them for meals and displaying best conduct as per the traditions of the holy Imams.
Members of the delegation also had the opportunity to ask questions which Ayatullah Sheikh Fayyadh answered willingly.
On behalf of Wessex Jamaat a gift was presented to Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq and his prayers for the success of the Al Mahdi project was requested.
