In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, Most Merciful
The leading religious authority in Najaf expresses its deepest sorrow and regret on the tragic incident that occurred from the massive explosion in the port of the cherished city of Beirut. This resulted in a large number of victims and missing persons, and many folds of wounded and injured, and the displacement of tens of thousands of citizens from their houses & homes - leading to massive ruin, heavy losses and severe damage to buildings and property - a disastrous scene rarely seen in recent decades.
Whilst we convey our deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the noble Lebanese people on this great affliction, we ask Allah Almighty to support and grant them more strength, patience and solidarity to overcome this great ordeal. We invite the honourable believers and all the benevolent people in the world to stand by them during these difficult circumstances and provide them all available means to alleviate the effects of this great disaster. We ask Allah Almighty to bless the victims with great mercy and grant their loved ones patience and solace and ensure the recovery and well-being of the wounded. He is the Most Merciful.
