From the Bishop of Portsmouth: Ramadan

Dear Sheikh Fazle Abbas,

As you and your community begin the first day of fasting after Suhur this morning I assure you all of my prayers for this sacred month of fasting , reflection and prayer.

In these unique times you are facing the challenge of keeping Ramadan in an especially challenging way. I hope that though this is difficult and disappointing, it will somehow and perhaps unexpectedly be a deepening of faith, nourished at home rather than at the mosque or at your Centre.

Thank you for all that your community is doing, in common with mine and many others, to contribute to the common good and welfare by closing our buildings for public worship.
