The Mother's Union and members of the Men's group went on an interfaith
visit to the Al Mahdi Wessex Jamaat, on 8th June, 2015. It was an enlightening and
rewarding visit to the Shia Muslim centre near Fareham. We were made
to feel very welcome and shown around the community centre. There was a honest
and open question session where many of the common challenges we face were
discussed; how to bring up children in faith and how to remain relevant and
engaged with modern society.
We look forward to showing the members of Al Mahdi our church and developing our friendship, based on shared respect and understanding.
