Wessex Jamaat Blood Donation Campaign

Wessex Jamaat Blood Donation Campaign

Did you know, a single blood donation can save up to three lives! This year, Wessex Jamaat has teamed up with the NHS Blood and Transfusion Service to put on a Blood Donation Campaign, inspired by the story and the message of Imam Hussain (as).

The session will take place on Tuesday 8th October from 17.30-18.30 at St John’s Church Hall in Fareham.

The donation process is simple and straight forward. If you are interested in donating blood, you can find more information and check your eligibility on www.blood.co.uk. Following this, you will need to register as a donor using the website, at which point you will be given a donor ID number. Once you have your donor ID, please contact Br Mohamedabbas Jaffer and he will be happy to arrange an appointment for you or answer any queries you may have.

Most fit and healthy people between the ages of 17-66 will be able to donate. Please note that in some cases, you cannot donate blood within 4 months of travel to Kenya or Tanzania (please see website for further information regarding this).

Please note that spaces are very limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. We would encourage all community members to consider becoming regular donors if they are eligible.
