Salamun alaykum,

Meeladun Nabi: A Great Divine Favour
Women were treated as mere property; society was poisoned with usury, alcohol, gambling, adultery, endless tribal wars, and the brutal practice of female infanticide. This was widely prevalent in the society of pagan Arabs. In the Ayyam al-Jaahiliyyah (Age of Ignorance), humanity had sunk into moral decay. The status of humanity had fallen so low to the brink of hell.
At that moment of darkness, Allah, the Most Compassionate, bestowed upon mankind His greatest favour. This was the birth of al-Mukhtar, His chosen one, Muhammad al-Mustafa SAWW. The Prophet emerged as a radiant light leading humanity out of ignorance into enlightenment, out of oppression into justice, and out of despair into divine hope.
Alhamdulillah, today we find ourselves in Rabi’ ul Awwal, the blessed month of honour and grace, the month of ennoblement – the month in which Rasulallah- the Messenger of Allah- graced this world. Across the globe, Muslims celebrate this occasion, Meeladun Nabi, with intense joy and gratitude, recognizing it as a turning point in human history.

Describing the Noble Prophet:
Even non-Muslim scholars have acknowledged his greatness. The Encyclopaedia Britannica calls him “the most successful of all religious personalities in the world.”
However, human vocabulary is restricted to our human experience and temporal language. We are limited by imperfection. We cannot fully capture the majesty of the Noble Prophet; a flawless being. Therefore, to truly know the Prophet, we resort to the Allah SWT, Rabbul ‘aalameen (Lord of the Universe) who introduces the Prophet:
“And We did not send you, except as a mercy to the worlds.”
(Surah al-Anbiya 21:107)
Thus, Allah introduced His Prophet not merely as a teacher or reformer, but as Rahmatun lil-‘Aalameen—a mercy for all creation.

His Impact
Imam Ali a.s., in Nahj al-Balaagha, describes the Prophet’s mission beautifully:
“Allah sent Muhammad (saww) when the mission of other prophets had ceased, and the people were in deep slumber and long heedlessness. The evils of the world were rampant, and the flames of war blazed. The world was devoid of light, open in face of deception, displaying vanity, and fully loaded with mischief.” (Nahj al-Balāgha, Sermon 1)
From the solitude of Mount Hira, a single man called people to reflect on life’s purpose. With unwavering conviction, unmatched integrity, and gentleness of heart, the Prophet Muhammad SAWW sparked a revolution in thought and action.
  • Through his character, he transformed hearts.
  • Through his message, he gave people purpose.
  • Through his leadership, he united fragmented tribes into a brotherhood of faith.
His compassion and justice ignited the greatest moral transformation in history. He did not simply move armies and governments—he reshaped souls. He shattered idols, overturned falsehood, and established Tawheed (the Oneness of God) with the timeless words: Laa ilaaha illallaah – There is no god but Allah.
Indeed, the birth of the Prophet was not only a historical event—it was, and remains, the greatest divine favour to mankind.

It’s 1,500th anniversary of Meeladun Nabi
The Prophet departed this world at the age of 63, ten years after the Hijrah, making him 53 at the time of migration. Today, in 1447 A.H., we are witnessing approximately 1,500 years since his blessed birth—1,500 years of guidance, mercy, and divine light.

“The world was illuminated with his light, and the horizons were filled with his radiance. The hearts were awakened by his remembrance, and blessings descended upon the earth by his presence.” Imam J’afar al Sadiq a.s.
Celebrating Meeladun Nabi:
Love for the Messenger of Allah SAWW is not confined to celebrations or praises. True devotion is expressed by:

> Embracing him as our role model

>Living by his values of mercy, justice, and compassion
>Reflecting his character in our dealings with others

If the Prophet is mercy to all the worlds, then his followers must embody mercy. Can one claim to follow the Prophet while causing harm, injustice, violence, or terror? Such acts contradict his essence, for where there is no mercy, there is no trace of Rahmatun lil-‘Aalameen.
“The Compassionate One shows mercy to those who are merciful. Be merciful to those on the earth, and the One above the heavens will show mercy to you.” (Noble Prophet SAWW)

A Call to the Heart
As we commemorate this blessed Meeladun Nabi, let us open our hearts to receive the Divine gift of Rasulallah SAWW. Let us walk in his footsteps, seek his intercession, and in doing so, draw nearer to Allah SWT.

Heartiest Felicitations Meeladun Nabi Mubarak!
