Sha’baan: Season of devoting servitude
Excellence of sadaqah -charity in Sha’baan: “If a person gives in charity during Sha’baan, Allah nourishes it as humans nourish the baby camel. The deed of sadaqa- will meet the Donor on day of Judgment in a state in which it would have grown to the size of the mountain of Uhud.” Imam J’afar As Sadiq a.s.
“If one observes fast during the last three days of Sh’abaan and joins them with that of the month of Ramadhan, then Allah (SWT) will record (in his book of deeds) the thawab for two months of continuous fasting.” Imam Ali Ar Ridha (a.s.)
8th Imam Ali ar Ridha a.s. advises his companion Abdus Salam bin Salih al- Harawy (Aba S-alt), “During the few days that are left in this month of Sha’baan, increase to continuously recite:
اللّهُمَّ إنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ غَفَرْتَ لَنَا فِيمَا مَضَى مِنْ شَعْبَان فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا فِيمَا بَقِيَ مِنْهُ.
[“O’ Allah! If you have not forgiven us (our sins) in that which has passed of this (month of) Sha’baan, then forgive us (our sins) in the period that is remaining (of the month of Sha’ban).]”

What is our basic concept with regards to Qur’an?
“This is the Book, there is no doubt therein, a guidance for the God Conscious.” Sura Al Baqarah 2:2.
“We have not neglected anything in the book.” Sura Al an’am 6:38.
Therefore, it is but naturally incumbent upon the Qur’an not to remain silent upon the basic principle of Imamat and Imam Mahdi.
Imam al Mahdi in Qur’an:
Invaluable research has been done by scholars of the Qur’an who have compiled numerous books on the Qur’anic view on Imam Mahdi. The oldest and foremost of collections is ‘Al Muhajja Feema nazala Fil Qaaimil Hujjah’ – The proof of what has been revealed (in Qur’an) for the Qaaim al Hujjah-by prominent scholar Allamah Seyyid Hashim Bahrani records 120 verses of Qur’an. In other works scholars have recorded upto 270 verse on this subject.
Selections of verses from Qur’an:
Sura Hud 11:86
“Baqiyatullah (What remains with Allah) is best for you, if you are sincere believers.”
The 12 th Imam is baqa (remaining) alive because of Allah. Thus his title Baqiyatullah: the one whom Allah has kept / The one who remains due to
Allah.
Condition for deriving benefit: only if you are sincere believers. The first words which the 12th Imam shall utter on re-appearance with his wall against the Ka’aba will be the above. (5 th Imam al Baqir a.s.)
Sura Al Qadr 98:4
“The angels and spirit tanazzalu -continue descending-therein (Laylatul Qadr) by the permission of their Lord with decrees of all affairs.”
Notice the verb tanazzalu in present continuous tense is conveying message that the descent is still occurring on laylatul Qadr. There must be a esteemed personality of similar wilaya -authority like the Noble Prophet. These are the Divinely appointed Imams.
