أَعظَمَ اللهُ أُجُورَنا و أُجُورَكُم بِمُصابِنا بِالحُسَين ع

May Allah make our and your reward great for our mourning for Imam al-Husayn (as)

Dear parents,

Salamun alaykum,

I pray that you and your families are keeping well. May Allah Reward you and your family for the azadari on Aba Abdillah Imam Husayn a.s.

During the normal days this would be the time when, like the schools, Madrasah would be commencing the new Academic year.  Sadly, the unusual times we are in has made life and our various activities become different.  Nonetheless holding on strongly to rahma together with tawakkul upon Allah SWT we will InshAllah be granted relief to cover these segments in our journey of mortal life.

The government has updated its guidance on protective measures for out -of-school settings during the Covid-19 outbreak. Aspects of this regulation applicable to the Madrasah as an out -of -school-setting include the following:

  • Where it is possible to do so, providers should also try to work with parents, the schools or early years settings which children attend to ensure, as far as possible, children can be kept in a group with other children from the same bubble they are in during the school day. This will minimise the amount of mixing between different groups of children outside of school, and therefore the risk of infection.
  • Children and young people from different schools can attend the same out-of-school setting, but providers, where possible, are encouraged to work with the schools that they attend to ensure they are, as far as possible, kept in the same consistent groups or bubbles that they are in throughout the school day.
  • You should also discourage attendance from children who live outside the local area. Ideally, children who attend your setting should live within walking or cycling distance.

Having taken into consideration the functioning of our Madrasah, we believe that presently it would be challenging to resume physical Madrasah sessions at al Mahdi Centre. Further based on the guidance from the Wessex Jamaat it seems that this may be the case for the next 3 months. Thus, we will not be able to re-convene physical Madrasah this term. It is on this basis that we will continue home /Online Madrasah. Therefore, I would like to inform you the following:

  • Class compositions:

For now, the children will continue to remain in their same Class groups as they were in prior to the lockdown. This is for both the Qur’an recitation and Tarbiyah subjects

  • Qur’an Recitation:

From Saturday 12th September 2020, InshAllah all children from Year 1 (Class Awwal 1) will continue having Qur’an lesson conducted through Zoom online platform. Parents will receive email invitations to meetings scheduled by the respective group teachers. Could you ensure that you are ready to log in on time with your desktop/ tablet/ phone or device and that your child is prepared for the lesson. Note that there will be no Qur’an recitation lessons for children in Reception group (Class Awwal YR).

  1. Tarbiyah Curriculum:

For the moment there will be no Tarbiyah lessons for all Year groups. Our devoted team of dedicated volunteers are developing plans towards delivering online Tarbiyah sessions. It is proposed to deliver these sessions from 11:00 a.m. after the morning Qur’an recitation sessions. I will provide you updates on this programme in due course.

Commendation: You will appreciate that my team of dedicated muallimin, who are professionals in their own respective occupations, have selflessly taken the challenge to continue serving the Madrasah and adapting to new methods of delivering the Deeni T’alim to our children. I commend them for their commitment. Request you to kindly remember in your duas all in my team of dedicated Madrasah volunteers.

Let’s continue to offer special prayers to Allah SWT, by wasila of Ahlul Bayt a.s.  for protection of all from the epidemic due to the COVID-19 virus and for the cure of all who are unwell. May you and your loved ones be granted safety from all calamities.

Please pray for the success of our endeavours.

Yawmul Jumah Mubarakah

Iltimasi Dua.
