Dua assembly for MacMillan Cancer Support
There are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today. They and their families need support for whatever Cancer throws in their way.
MacMillan Cancer Support is a leading British charity that helps everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support. Cancer can happen to anyone at any time and as Muslims we should also champion this cause that affects our communities too.
MacMillan Cancer Support arranged world’s biggest coffee morning on Friday 27th September, 2019.as a fund raising initiative where people all over the UK hosted Coffee Mornings and donations on the day made to Macmillan.
In supporting this initiative and to encourage our children to be aware of their role towards care for the ill, al Mahdi Madrasah offered special prayers in the Dua assembly on Saturday, 28th September, 2019. Children had been requested to bring £1 pound to the Madrasah for contribution to the MacMillan Cancer Support as they partake refreshments during break time on the day. The collection on the day was forwarded to the MacMillan Cancer Support through Wessex Jamaat.
