Statement condemning the Manchester Attack

Salamun Alaykum/Greetings of peace,

We are deeply saddened to learn of the suicide bombing at Manchester arena
which took place last night, Monday 22nd May, 2017. Our thoughts and prayers
are with the victims, their families and friends. We pray for the injured to
make a swift recovery.

This utterly despicable and cowardly attack which targeted children and
young people, the most vulnerable group in our society, is appalling. It
deserves strong condemnation.

At this sorrowful time for our nation, we must not to allow the voices of
bigotry, fear and hatred to divide us. Let us continue to demonstrate our
values of humanity, love and building relationships within our communities.

With salams and duas,

Sheikh Fazle Abbas Datoo
