'Meet your Muslim Neighbour': Visit by University of Chichester

Dear Muminin,

Salamun alaykum,

'Meet your Muslim Neighbour' Friday 23rd November, 2018:

A group of students from the University of Chichester undertaking Teacher Education and Religious studies, will be visiting the Al Mahdi Centre on Friday 23rd November from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. The students come from a range of areas of study. Some students are on the Islamic Identities module and others are PGCE students, training to be Secondary School RE teachers. Note that a module on Islam is included in the Religious Studies course undertaken by the Teacher Trainee students.

The objective for the event would be for them to visit a centre, meet Muslims, have conversations to know more on Islam and learn about the practical aspect of being a Muslim. The theme for this event is 'Meet your Muslim Neighbour.',

As in the previous occasions Wessex Jamaat has extended a warm welcome, engaged in interactive discussions on Islam and in keeping with the traditions of Islam shared food with the visitors.

Muminin are invited to attend and participate in the round table conversations with the 17 number of guests expected from the University.

For more details and to confirm your participation in the conversations kindly inform Dr MuhammadAbbas Jaffer (This email address is being protected from spambots. The task areas include : Venue arrangement, Welcome /Reception, participation in the round table discussions, Serving, Clearing, Cleaning, Re-arranging furniture, Compiling report /story of the visit and other related duties.

If you would like to contribute towards Meals / Refreshment or are able to volunteer to serve in any way for the above event request you to kindly confirm your interest.

Your participation in this project will InshAllah be a valuable service of tableegh of Islam and help build relationships across faiths.

Shukran.

With salams and duas,

Fazle Abbas Datoo
