Mahe Ramadhan School

As part of the Mahe Ramadhan School the children this year decided to fundraise for the Hazrat Ali Asgher Water Appeal (AAWA).  Mashallah it was a pleasure to see the future leaders our community using every tactic to raise money for this noble cause.  Many events were organised in conjunction with the AAWA appeal including desert sale, whole night ibadaat, raffle ticket sale, exhibition, ladies beauty sessions to name just a few.

The one that needs special mention is the Asmaul Husna Memorisation Competition, the theme of the Ramadhan School this year.  This was the first of its kind and overall everyone enjoyed listening to the children.  Congratulations to all the children for maintaining a true spirit of participation and making it an outstanding success.

Hazrat Ali Asgher Water Appeal (AAWA)

This was the first time such an appeal has been launched globally by the youth around the world, including North America, Europe, Dubai and as far as Auckland, New Zealand.  We are proud that the youths of Wessex Jamaat took an active part in this noble project to raise over £2000 for digging wells in India and East Africa.

Helpers of Al Mahdi

The year 2003 saw the launch of the ‘Helpers of Al Mahdi’.  The children work magnificently as part of a team of volunteers helping with day to day functions of running the centre.  The helpers are recognised by the badges they wear.
