24th December, 2011 / 28th Muharram 1432 A.H.
Dear Revd Christopher,
Greetings of peace be upon you,
Jesus said;”So peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die and the day when I shall be raised to life again. (Holy Quran)
On behalf of the AL MAHDI Wessex Shia Ithna Asheri Community of Wessex, I would like to extend heartiest felicitations to you ·and members of your congregation, on the auspicious occasion of celebration of birth of RASULALLAH ISA IBN MARYAM, the Apostle of Allah, Isa son of Maryam; the chaste lady.
It is gratifying to note the close relationship established by AL Mahdi and the Cathedral. Among the numerous gifts of this bridge between our Faith Communities is·a unique milestone :- this year was the Seventeenth instant for the joint celebrations at the Cathedral on 22nd November, 2011.
During these days of celebrations of the nativity of Jesus, let this be an opportunity for us to nurture this valuable friendship.

I pray that as neighbours, members of the Faith Community, we continue extending love to our neighbours as enjoined by this great Divine representative of God.
I offer our heartiest felicitations, greetings and best wishes to all our Christian brethren and a prosperous happy New Year 2012 with many blessings.
Thank you for your friendship and support.
With best wishes,
